Shoes

I really don't understand the trend of shoes marketing nowadays.
What is the purpose of displaying the shoes next to your face anyway?
Is it to show the ratio of shoes to face or do you think I'll buy the shoes because your face is cute/pretty?
I just don't get it.
A picture of you actually wearing the shoes is more helpful ok
